This article looks at a small state in India called Kerala and its literature. I basically focus on how Soviet literature translations influenced this growing literary tradition, and argue that the Cold War years helped shape world literature in Kerala.

I hope people understand this article as a young researcher's first attempt to understand the history of Malayalam translations of Russian classics that she has been obsessed with for years.
