What is it about?

This paper seeks to evaluate current ideas concerning practical theology and its relation to North American youth ministry. Much of modern-day practical theology in North America has moved away from an application-driven method. Instead, many have opted for a methodology that begins in context and/or experience. This paper seeks to offer a critical evaluation of those methods and models, first by assessing its development, then its recent definitions, and lastly by surveying various difficulties. Finally, the article offers various implications for practicing theology in North American youth ministry.
