Linguistic metaphors reflect the way we think. It is impossible to conceptualize and convey information concepts without employing metaphoric communication and thinking processes. This articles focuses on how metaphors express attitudes. Analysis of metaphor in actual discourse can have ‘real world’ consequences. Therefore, this article looks into how attitudinal perspective is expressed via metaphors while discussing higher education reform in Lithuania.
