What is it about?
We studied fossil woods from the Eocene (ca. 50 million of years ago) based on the anatomy. The specimens were found in sediments of Corcovado, Chubut Province, Argentinean Patagonia that were assigned to the Huitrera Formation. The study indicates that Podocarpaceae dominate among conifers.
