What is it about?
1) The gene expression profiles of Z. planispinum var. Dintanensisin grown at different altitude are first reported within this study. 2) The altitude significantly affects the gene expression, main medicinal ingredients of peels, and fruit morphological features in Zanthoxylum planispinum var. Dintanensis in rocky desertification control areas. 3)A tatol of 7, 6, 6 and 2 candidate genes involved in flavonoid biosynthesis, volatile oil accumulation, alkamide biosynthesis, and alkaloids biosynthesis were identified, respectively.
