What is it about?

Many Chinese behavior like their ancestors. They still go to the sacred mountains to worship all kinds of gods for everything in daily life. Why? The paper describes and explains the above universal phenomenon in modern China to help readers better understand Chinese culture.

Why is it important?

Many stakeholders get involved in the Worship in modern China, such as gods, individual, governments, even the whole nation. In other words, such worship is concerned about folk culture, religion practices, local economy and national politics.

Perspectives

It took me five years to undertake the research. It is a wonderful experience for me to conduct the work field following the paper published. I hope this article could help the reader pay attention to the complicated religious phenomenon in China.
