What is it about?

Multisensory integration (MSI) helps us perceive, decide, and act by combining info from different senses, improving reaction times. Researchers use race models to study this, predicting RTs based on each sense processing info independently. Faster-than-predicted RTs suggest true sensory integration in the brain. However, analyzing MSI data can be complex, especially with large datasets. To address this, we developed CART-GUI—a free, user-friendly software for Windows/Mac that requires no programming skills. It simplifies data loading, filtering, and analysis while testing race model predictions. Users can calculate, visualize, and statistically analyze reaction times across senses in one platform. The CART-GUI makes MSI research accessible to all, from beginners to experts, offering powerful tools to uncover insights into how our brain integrates sensory info.
