What is it about?
This article analyzes the occurrence and interpretation of different concepts of trust in Muslim Friday sermons in Germany. The study draws on the digital sermon archives of DITIB (2011–2024) and IGMG (2011–2024). It explores how trust in God is conceptualized, the forms of interpersonal trust addressed in these sermons, and the differences between these two associations in their understanding and presentation of trust. Additionally, it considers the sociological implications of Islamic concepts of trust.
