What is it about?

This article explores how anti-modern beliefs influence the development of Shiʿism among Italian converts, using insights from history and sociology. By analyzing the writings of selected converts, we reveal how they reshape Shiʿism through their cultural motivations. Italian Shiʿism, influenced by these motivations, takes on certain characteristics reminiscent of its early forms. Notably, converts prioritize metaphysical views over legal and social aspects of Shiʿism, shaping a unique path in their religious journey.
