What is it about?

The manuscript analyzes the City Mayor of Quezon City, Philippines as a policy-entrepreneur and political champion of sustainable development on the basis of Mintrom and Norman’s essential characteristics of a successful entrepreneur employing elite, expert interview, and integrative review as qualitative tools. As an added dimension of the article, it also incorporates an integrative literature on policy entrepreneurship and qualitative examples, relevant sources, references, and documents to support and reinforce the qualitative claims on sustainable development with the city mayor at the helm of policy-entrepreneurship which the article also hopes will consequently become an important basis of crafting current and on-going policy-directions and policy-opportunities of sustainable thinking in the Philippines, Asia and beyond.
