What is it about?
The researchers examined the religious and spiritual impact of early parental death by comparing a group of young adults who experienced an early parental death and a group of young adults who had not experienced an early parental death. The results of this study indicated that individuals who experience early parental death were similarly involved in religious practice to their non-bereaved peers, but experienced greater religious crisis and lower spiritual gains. Related implications for counselors are explored in this article.
