What is it about?
Mormons, or members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, have unique beliefs and practices that can positively or negatively affect mental health. Counselors and other mental health professionals who work with Mormon clients need a basic understanding of these beliefs and practices, coupled with curiosity about the individual in order to be as helpful as possible. This article will provide counselors with guidance on how to do so.
