What is it about?
In the university setting we expect that every student master specific skills to produce knowledge. In this work we designed and implemented a bunch of procedures and techniques and we provided evidence on how it works on benefit of students at university.

Why is it important?
The procedures and techniques reported in this paper goes beyond the the current practices based on students reporting their own progress. Here we suggest both subjective and objective assessment of student progress using a well structured tools and sound pedagogical decision.

Strengthening the Teaching and Research Nexus (TRN) in Higher Education (HE) : systematic review of reviews
This is a review of review studies provide researchers, teachers, and policy decision-makers with an overview of TRN in higher education based on available peer-reviewed review studies. In doing this, the following question were answered: What are the conceptual developments in TRN definitions? What are the outcomes of experimental TRN interventions? What are the implementation challenges of TRN in higher education? What TRN implementation strategies have been adopted? Finally, what do the reviews stress as future directions for TRN?
