Why is it important?

Lawfare as a non kinetic form of Hybrid Warfare is increasingly being used either to achieve strategic objectives or to support kinetic operations.

Perspectives

Our article gives a comprehensive overview of lawfare as a increasingly relevant aspect of 21st century conflict. We do not only provide an overview on lawfare within the context of the present Hybrid Warfare discussion but also a practical operational context. The findings of our article have already found their way into the present NATO and US military discussion. This article is of particular relevance for the UK market as the UK military dogma seems to overlook the use of premptive lawfare as a means of countering a potential adversary's use of lawfare to exploit UK vulnerabilities.
