What is it about?
People in fragile Middle Eastern countries experience restrictive COVID-19 policies that are more strict and comply to them less often than people in strong Middle Eastern countries. The types of policies passed in each country can lend important insight into what sectors could benefit the most from external aid.

Why is it important?
The timely application of policy analysis during the COVID-19 pandemic sheds light on the restrictive nature of fragile Middle Eastern countries before the pandemic and can help inform the predictions of future pandemic responses.
Perspectives
It was a pleasure to work with such a diverse team of dedicated scholars despite overcoming obstacles posed by the pandemic such as not collaborating face-to-face, not to mention doing so across different time zones.
