What is it about?
Key messages • Overall, energy, carbohydrate, protein and fat intake (corrected for age) were similar between the stunted and normal height children. • Fibre intake was significantly higher in the stunted children, likely due to intake of less refined foods. • Several microbial taxa correlated with nutritional intake. • Faecalibacterium positively correlated with carbohydrate and fibre intake, the latter of which positively correlated with fecal butyrate concentrations.
