What is it about?
Many young people now use proverbs in revised and novel ways that show wit, humour, sarcasm and recent developments. These new kinds of proverbs are called postproverbials. You find them in use everywhere. My research appreciates the semantic and discourse dynamism of English postproverbials as they are creatively engaged by social media users on Twitter.
