What is it about?
Some Tiv oral art forms were rarely performed as a result of the postmodern trends and tastes. The study shows that the very scales of modern measurement that threaten them are the one re-branding the oral products in forms like pop music, radio remix, film, computers and social media. The Tiv national anthem now has three versions from the multimedia interface.

What oral artistic product that was thought odd and out of modern taste has been tracked in a modern taste and in other versions thereby opening performance and audience spaces for further exploration by people even outside the Tiv linguistic group.

Commoditization and postmodernism with their harsh effects on cultural products have brought with them a smooth sailing hybridization of cultures and broadening of artistic horizons as can be found among the Tiv.
