What is it about?
The research article discloses the feature of Security Sector Reform (SSR) in Liberia during the transitional regime under the umbrella of the United Nations peace mission UNMIL. The article also addresses the issues of international norms of SSR in various aspects.

Why is it important?
The research criticises the role of international actors' for neglecting local ownership, citizen oversight and gender inequality during the reform of security sectors of Liberia. The study also observes the poor democratic control over the reformed police and army. However, I think the research is significant for unvailing the success of the army and police reform during the cosmopolitan regime.
Perspectives
Actually, the baseline of the research has done during my Master programme on Conflict, Security and Development at the University of Bradford. That time I conceptualised Conflict and Security in-depth. I believe the writings will provide some extra about the SSR dynamics in Liberia.
