This article aims to promote a stylistic-literary study of Neoplatonic writings from the observation of the presence of a theory of style appropriate to each content. We focus in particular on the theory that accompanies the structuring of thought into a sentence either concise or prolix, showing the clear influence of a rhetorical model on the definition of the period and its components, the commata and cola.
