What is it about?

I look at interviews I conducted with with people who attend Limmud conference, a cross-communal annual conference held in the UK, and analyse the utopian phrases and metaphors they use in order to examine how Limmud functions in the UK Jewish community.

Why is it important?

There is very little academic analysis of Limmud and its role in the Jewish community; this article is part of a wider research project looking at the history and significance of Limmud.
