Why is it important?

The study of the affective role of symbols, as well as symbolic insults in diplomatic and international social practice, is of both theoretical and practical interest.
Perspectives
Diplomatic symbolism can play a role in conflict resolution, creating common values and norms. In order to better understand diplomacy and diplomatic practice, this phenomenon requires further research in political, social and cross-cultural contexts.
