What is it about?

This paper explores the relationship between education and democracy in Sub-Saharan Africa. Most studies have researched the context on a global level and have not included or disproportionally excluded Sub-Saharan African countries in their analysis. This study fills the gap in the academic literature by providing an analysis of the relationship between education and democracy for Sub-Saharan Africa. Results show that there is a statistically significant relationship between both variables, thus mirroring the results of global studies on the topic. Additionally, the study echoes the continued focus on education in light of recent political developments around the world and multiple organizations announcing that democracy declined in multiple countries worldwide.
