A New Source for Childbirth Prayers in the Byzantine Rite

What is it about?

The author presents a list of all of the Greek and Slavonic Byzantine Rite prayers associated with childbirth that have been edited so far. The author then provides a description of the 16th century manuscript St. Petersburg, National Library of Russia, Greek 617, and an edition of the previously unedited childbirth prayers found in this source.
