What is it about?
This study examines how two major Arab television news channels, Al Jazeera and Al Arabiya, use infographics in economic news coverage. Using a quantitative content analysis of 196 economic infographics, the study compares the visual styles, information density, sources, and presentation methods used by both channels. The findings show that both channels rely heavily on animated, statistical, and informational infographics to simplify complex economic topics, while differences appeared in the density of information and preferred presentation styles.
