What is it about?
The fable of the beetle is a version of a well-known and widespread folktale, here recorded in Turoyo, an unwritten Neo-Aramaic language, for the first time. This bilingual version, collected in 2020, contains Neo-Aramaic prose and Kurdish verse sections, reflecting the bi- and multi-lingualism of Turoyo speakers in their homeland.
