What is it about?

It is difficult to talk about human dignity but at the same time a necessity to talk about dignity, According to Kim and Day, the challenge for public theology is to cross the boundaries of publics, disciplines, language, as a credible voice, accessible, open to critique by publically available warrants and criteria. The article presents three new directions in the approach of human dignity, namely “the moral excellence approach”, the “capability approach”, and the “resilience approach” which can meet this challenge of public theology. The article ends with methodological considerations for empirical research into human dignity.
