What is it about?
The article focuses on ius contra bellum and assesses whether (and if so, under what conditions) may military support provided to a victim-state of aggression be considered use of force by the support providing state(s) against the aggressor. The article builds upon the experience of the international community related to the aggression of Russia against Ukraine and subsequent reaction of various states. It concludes, among others, that the Russia-Ukraine conflict may be a turning point in certain aspects of evolution of ius contra bellum and that arming Ukraine is likely not use of force by the supporting states against Russia.
