What is it about?
The Ambazonian people of southern Cameroon have been denied their right to self-determination. the people of southern Cameroon desire to be self governed as a result of a long history of political oppression and the perpetual infringement of their human rights. the people are aggrieved about their perpetual oppression, subjugation, and the lack political representation and participation. Although self-determination is frowned at by international law. To validly justify secession as an exercise to the right of self-determination, the following conditions precedent must be in place namely that the secessionists consists a people and that there is a remedial justification that vests in them a moral ground to secede such as human rights violations and political oppression. The international community has called for a peaceful resolution to the conflict in the Anglophone regions, and encouraging the Cameroon government to prevent violations and protect human rights. The Nigerian government has been against the Ambazonia contest for sovereignty. this has complicated the peaceful resolution of the crises.
