What is it about?
This special edition, which is a collection of some of the papers, originally presented at a conference held in Dalian Maritime University, China in June 2023, and later on revised and updated, examines ocean law and policy themes that address structures and practices that are currently contributing to ongoing disharmony in the oceans. They address issues relating to the protection of the marine environment, plastics, offshore nuclear power and radioactive wastewater releases, seabed mining in the context of biodiversity protection, BBNJ, and climate change adaptation to ocean disasters.
