What is it about?
The present manuscript did a first description of amphipods spatial distribution on benthic macroinvertebrates in Salado river, in Atacama desert, north of Chile, a non studied river. The observed data revealed that amphipods belong to Hyalella fossamanchini, Hyalella kochi and juveniles, that had aggregated pattern, that in some situations were associated to negative binomial distribution. This pattern was similar to observations for benthic crustaceans.
