Why is it important?

Peter Hocken was a fine scholar and a loyal Roman Catholic whose work is valued across a wide spectrum of the church. He made a significant contribution to our understanding of the charismatic and ecumenical movements. He also illuminated messianic Judaism.

Perspectives

I knew Peter over many years and wrote this article in the knowledge that he was a significant scholar and theologian. In many ways he was a retiring and shy man and and not in any way prone to self-publicity. What is set out in this article is drawn from numerous interviews with Peter, and I do not think the information is available elsewhere.
