What is it about?

Scholars disagree quite sharply when it comes to Irenaeus' interpretation of Old Testament theophanies. After a detailed survey of the various scholarly positions, I argue that Irenaeus' treatment of theophanies (1) did not present a theological corrective to Justin of Neapolis' Logos-theology, and (2) is in fact consistent with that of Tertullian, Clement of Alexandria, and Origen.
