What is it about?

The letters of Cyprian of Carthage (248-258 AD) and Dionysius of Alexandria are important sources to understand how bishops communicate to their community and to colleagues. Controlling the ways and means of communication they consolidate their positions. Hierarchical structures are strengthened.
