What is it about?
The secular talk of enabling LGBT persons to ‘be themselves’ often results in a rather narrow and static understanding of sexual identity. The conservative Protestant counter-discourse on ‘being in Christ’ subordinates homosexual identity to Christian identity – or even rejects it. Critically analysing these rhetorics, I propose a more queer and Catholic concept of sacramental characters.
