What is it about?
Persons who have suffered state violence are often blamed for what they have endured, and it is often assumed that persons who are targeted by state violence are guilty. This is true also when the state is responsible for systematic and serious human rights violations. _x000D_ This article asks whether trials can contribute to changing this, and argues that when the majority of such trials lead to convictions, trials do challenge the stigma of being victims of state violence. _x000D_
