What is it about?
This article compares the state response to the Covid-19 pandemic in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Singapore. Despite initial success and International praise, these "successful" countries faced challenges when it came to vaccination, where international political economy played a role, albeit unevenly. The paper goes on to show the limitation of the statist theory and suggests that global dynamics and historical specificities play an important role.
