What is it about?
Most of sociological research focus on the mean (average) of the selected variables. But the shape of the distribution, the variance of the selected variables might have provide additional information about a given research question. In this paper we focus on the change of variance in questions about satisfaction with life, economic, politics and so on in a European perspective.

The study helps to understand the difference between various European region regard subjective well-being, and gives a good overview of the impact of financial crisis (2008) to this life domain.
Perspectives
We hope this study above the substantive findings gives other researchers new ideas how to analyze their research data.
