What is it about?

Two new Bursaphelenchus species very close to B. ratzeburgii, B. ulmophilus and B. ussuriensis are described based on morphological and molecular analysis. Bursaphelenchus betulae sp. n., associated with the birch bark beetle Scolytus ratzeburgii in its host tree, the silver birch, Betula pendula, and Bursaphelenchus ophiostomae sp. n. associated with elm bark beetles Scolytus scolytus and S. multistriatus in the white European elm U. laevis.
