Morphological and molecular characterisation of Talanema maculatum sp. n. (Dorylaimida, Qudsianematidae) from Iran

What is it about?

A new species of soil nematode, T. maculatum sp. n., is described fron a natural area of Iran. Morphological details, morphometrics, line illustrations and pictures are provided. It is compared with its closest relatives, its much larger general size and the presence of cuticle ornamentation at the perivulvar area being its most relevant diagnostic features. Molecular analysis (28S-rDNA) is also presented
