What is it about?
We confirm the presence of the shrimp Solenocera membranacea in the Canary Islands. This finding based on a male collected off Tenerife represents the second record. The species may be preferentially associated with muddy substrates on continental shelves and upper slopes, while its presence on hard volcanic bottoms would be testimonial.
