Proteases from Penaeus monodon Fabricius, 1798 (Decapoda, Penaeidae): partial characterization and localization

What is it about?

Twelve different proteases including six trypsin-like proteases, three chymotrypsin-like proteases and three other serine proteases were found in the hepatopancreas extract of black tiger shrimp. Prophenoloxidases of the shrimp were activated by its trypsin-like proteases.
