What is it about?
Correlations between multiple behavioral traits consistent over time and context are referred to as behavioral syndromes, and form a part of the animal personality. We showed that the Common and Italian wall lizards share a behavioral syndrome involving the propensity to move, explore, face with predators, and catch preys. The syndrome shows variability at sex, population, and taxon levels. These results will allow to understand how natural selection forms and maintain personalities in animals.
