What is it about?

The extent to which rattlesnakes scavenge carrion is unknown. So is their capacity to act as kleptoparasites (food thieves) of other rattlesnakes. We sought to test rattlesnakes' propensity to scavenge, and if different venom cues associated with carcasses would increase the likelihood of kleptoparasitism occurring.
