What is it about?

This article examines eleven pairs of Greek manuscripts of the Epistle to the Galatians. Computer analysis of their text has indicated that they are closely related. The article demonstrates that, in three of the pairs, one manuscript is a direct copy of the other. In the other cases, it is sometimes possible to rule out that one manuscript was copied from the other, but some may also be direct copies of the other. Documents which are known to be direct copies are normally excluded from scholarly editions, but they provide information about how scribes copied manuscripts.
