Benjamin and the Anonymous Ten Tribes of Israel: A Holistic Approach to Tribal Confusions

What is it about?

Scholars debate the historical breakdown of the twelve tribes of Israel between the kingdoms of Israel and Judah. I argue that various aspects of the presentation of Benjamin's history in the books of Kings reveal both its primary affiliation with the kingdom of Israel, as opposed to Judah, and diverse efforts to obscure this fact.
