Why is it important?
It discusses not only a previously overlooked reference to the Sea Peoples in the Bible, but one of the very few references to the Sea Peoples in all of antiquity.
Perspectives
While I was shocked to learn that this Midrash and biblical exegesis have not been previously published and analyzed with specific reference to the Sea Peoples and the Philistines, I am gratified to be able to present it through VT to a much wider and scholarly international audience.
