What is it about?
_x000D_ This study explores how governance conditions impact knowledge diaspora engagement in Ethiopia's development. Data from key institutions and associations revealed positive aspects like political will, leadership potential, and sociocultural diaspora connections. However, challenges such as political instability, policy incoherence, lack of strategies, weak IP protection, corruption, and bureaucracy hinder engagement. Recommendations include enhancing political stability, aligning policies, developing clear strategies, enforcing IP rights, addressing corruption, and establishing monitoring and evaluation frameworks for successful diaspora engagement. _x000D_
