Recently, Hydro-hegemony and counter hydro-hegemony has get a currency in the scene of world academia. The Nile Rive, as one of the transnational rivers in the world attract the attention of scholars to explicate its hydro-political relations. The intent of this study is to explicate the hegemonic condition of Egypt in the Nile River. So, it critically examine whether Egypt's hegemony (hydro-hegemony) exist in the Nile River or not. To examine the (non) existence of hydro-hegemony in the Nile, we used Gramscian conception of hegemony and Hydro-hegemonic Framework developed by Zitioun and Warner in 2006.
