What is it about?

Karl Popper was a leading philosopher of science. The paper shows how Popper's philosophy would not have ruled out a providential conception of history i.e. a view that history unfolds through God's action.

Why is it important?

Pentecostalism presumes God intervenes in human affairs and so must also allow for the possibility of history writing that is open to God's activity.

Perspectives

Much modern history writing operates on a secular or materialistic presumption but I wanted to leave open the possibility of writing history that started from a different presumption.
